Quebec City, July 18, 2019. The Envol et Macadam festival unveils today all of its lineup for the 24th edition, which will take place from september 5 to september 7. Presented in collaboration with the Tremblay beer, the event once again offers an energetic and diversified program that will bring alternative music alive in the heart of Quebec City.

The organization had already announced the bands that will perform at l’Îlot Fleurie for this year’s edition. The lineup will bring to the capital some big names in the punk rock scene, including Lagwagon, Subhumans (UK), Joey Cape, Comeback Kid, Bigwig and Field Day (a group formed of members of Dag Nasty and Down by Law, an Canadian exclusivity!). Note that the shows presented on the Îlot Fleurie site, including that of Joey Cape on Thursday evening, are accessible to festival goers of all ages.

The lineup will also include the presence of recognized Quebec musicians such as Mononc ‘Serge, Keith Kouna and Carotté and outstanding Quebec bands including Peer Pressure, Still Insane, A Tree at Last, La Purge and Distance Critique.

There will also be numerous performance by local bands that will take place at the Scanner, l’Anti, Knock-Out and District Saint-Joseph. Those indoor shows will be an opportunity to see Hitch & Go, Scare, Late Night Munchies, Psomb, Palisade, Albatross, Margaret Tractor, Inner Odyssey, Our Home in Space, Traps, Excuse Me Mister! and Saviors, the perfect opportunity to keep partying after the shows at l’Îlot Fleurie.

The Alternative Market
New this year, the alternative music scene partners up with local artisans to offer a market out of the ordinary! As part of the festival, you will find t-shirts, posters, patches, pins, jewelry and other items to decorate your wardrobe and home. It will also be possible to purchase vinyls, cassettes and CDs of excellent bands from Quebec City. This new market will be accessible free to all on Friday and Saturday, an obvious destination for art and underground music lovers.

PLANETROX auditions
Envol et Macadam continues to showcase Quebec City internationally with the PLANETROX project. Emerging groups from eleven countries (Canada, United States, Mexico, France, United Kingdom, Germany, China, Indonesia, Japan, Czech Republic and for the first time, Poland) will land in the capital to produce on one of the different stages of the festival. The Quebec final was held last night and the XXXXXXXXX group won honors.

Envole-toi pour la Chine
The Envole-toi pour la Chine project is back! On Friday, September 6, at l’Anti, four bands from Quebec will go on stage in order to win the grand prize, a tour that will bring them to China in November. Who from Sweet Tooth, Hipshot, Downstater or Jungle Youth will win the honors? You’ll have to wait and see! This project is made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Quebec Ministry of Culture and Communications, the Come Together Charity Music Festival and the Chinese partners of Envol et Macadam.

Sale of passports and tickets
Passes are currently on sale at a cost of $ 45 for access all three days of shows. They are available at the Exo shop and on the Envol et Macadam website. Daily tickets are also available at a cost of $ 20 for Thursday and $ 35 (plus service charge) for Friday or Saturday.

We are also launching today the new promo “Full ton char” which allows buyers to purchase the pass at the special rate ($ 36.50 plus service charge), with the purchase of 5 passes. An interesting initiative for festival-goers from outside who often come to the festival as a group and who, we hope, will opt for carpooling.
