“Bonsoir, elle est partie!” The 2021 edition of Envol et Macadam will launch tonight live from Stade Canac. Presented in collaboration with District 7 Production and in this brand new location, the event will bring together some twenty Quebec and Canadian groups that will resonate with the best of alternative music in all its diversity. The festival team is very excited to be able to reconnect with its audience and is happy to have found a way to offer the first large-scale face-to-face outdoor concerts in the Capitale-Nationale since the start of the pandemic
The three evenings of shows proposed at Stade Canac highlight different genres and mixed musical influences. This Thursday, we kick off at 5:30 p.m. with The Robert’s Creek Saloon, which will be followed by Alie Sin, Drogue, The Planet Smashers and GrimSkunk.
This Friday, hip-hop will take over the stadium from 6 p.m. A night entirely dedicated to this style is offered with Sensei H, Wesbroom, Steve Beezy, MCM, Shreez and Souldia. On Saturday, the music will be heard from 2 p.m. and heavier sounds will be in the spotlight. Several bands will follow one another on stage including The Bridgetsens, Hopeful Sixteen, Hate It Too, Aeternam, Boundaries, Mute, Comeback Kid, Voivod and Despised Icon.
On site, festivalgoers can also visit the Marché Alternatif. This area allows you to discover local artisans’ multiple talents and to get your hands on t-shirts, posters, embroidery, macaroons, jewelry and many other unique creations. A must for underground music and art lovers!
Ticket sales
Tickets are on sale on the Envol et Macadam website. It is also possible to get them at EXOSHOP. Only daily tickets are offered, and the quantity is limited to 2000 places per evening for this edition.For each ticket sold, Envol et Macadam will donate a portion to the Fondation des Capitales de Québec which, for more than 10 years, has been supporting young people from Quebec City by donating equipment and money so that they can practice their favorite sport, baseball.All information relating to the event is also available at http://envoletmacadam.com
