À l’Ombre d’Héméra
Founded in 2015, À l’ombre d’Héméra is a post-metal sextet from Lévis.
The band’s identity is defined through contrasts. Their musical universe is sometimes brutal and intense, but numerous melodic passages with textured atmospheres bring nuance to their works. The lyrics — sung in French — are personal, vivid, and stem from a deep reflection on existential malaise.
2022 marks the return of À l’ombre d’Héméra with their third album titled Saison de déceptions (Season of Disappointments). Following a strict DIY work ethic since their beginnings, the sextet stays true to their contrasting sonic signature, meticulously developed on Le mur des ombres (2017) and En route vers le grand vide (2019). The new album, even more complex and assertive than its predecessors, features five visceral songs of epic proportions! “Let the shadows in, let the shadows reign.”
