Mr.Weather

Mr. Weather is a rock and classic heavy metal band formed in the summer of 2014 in Québec City, born from a chance meeting between Thomas Vidal and Gabriel Drolet-Pollock. Driven by a shared passion for music, ambition, enthusiasm, and fun, the band developed a sound deeply rooted in classic rock and metal, drawing influence from legendary acts that shaped their youth. The name Mr. Weather is inspired by an original song by Thomas Vidal, capturing the spirit of their musical journey.
Influenced by icons such as Iron Maiden, Firehouse, Dokken, Steppenwolf, Cream, and Nazareth, the band began crafting rich and rhythmically powerful tracks like Between Dreams & Reality, The Hound, and Heavy Duty. Their debut live performance took place on March 21, 2015, leading to numerous shows alongside both local and international acts including Sonata Arctica, Udo Dirkschneider (ex-Accept), The Agonist, and Hammerfall. They also played the prestigious Festival d’été de Québec in 2017 and 2019.
The current lineup features Gabriel Drolet-Pollock (vocals and guitar), Thomas Vidal (guitar), Alex Turcotte (bass), and energetic new drummer Bashir Dahrieh. Together, they deliver a distinctive sound marked by tight rhythms, complex solos, powerful vocals, and sophisticated song structures—creating a signature style that’s immersive and impactful.
Their debut album, Between Dreams & Reality, released in December 2016, firmly established them in the progressive metal scene. In 2023, they solidified their place with a second full-length album, Running From Hell, a 40-minute release featuring standout tracks like Wrong Side Of The Gun, Running From Hell, Alone, and Home, showcasing their growth both technically and sonically.
The singles Running From Hell and Home were released with official music videos, offering a visual extension of the band’s artistic vision and musical narrative. Having opened for renowned acts like Protest The Hero and Anvil, Mr. Weather has earned a strong reputation as a dynamic live act in the Québec music scene—respected for their professionalism, stage energy, and ability to connect with audiences both live and on record.
