Fast, technical, and melodic: these are just some of the words used by peers in the punk rock community to describe MUTE’s music. With 25 years of career behind them, the quartet is considered a must-see act in punk rock worldwide and has pursued a 100% independent (DIY) approach since its beginnings. The band has five albums to its name — Blueprints (2001), Sleepers (2004), The Raven (2008), Thunderblast (2011), and Remember Death (2016) — and more than 2,000,000 fans have watched one of their music videos.
MUTE has played over 700 shows in more than 25 countries across North America, Europe, Japan, and South America. The Canadian quartet has performed on every kind of stage, from self-managed squats to major international festivals. The band has shared the stage with renowned artists such as The Offspring and Bad Religion, and has toured with punk rock heavyweights like Rise Against, NOFX, and Lagwagon, to name just a few.
Tireless and driven by a strong work ethic and unwavering dedication, the quartet has no intention of slowing down. MUTE continues to establish itself as a leading force in the international punk rock scene.
