The Corps

The Corps is a melodic skatepunk band from Vancouver, Canada. Tackling personal and societal issues through the lens of the DC Comics universe, the band has gained international success thanks to their unique lyrical approach. Their songs, told from the perspectives of both heroes and villains, form captivating stories that invite repeated listens and deeper exploration of the themes.
After self-releasing two EPs, In Brightest Day (2015) and In Blackest Night (2016), The Corps released their debut full-length album, Tales From 2814 (2018), to critical acclaim on the Montreal-based label Thousand Islands Records. The artwork for these first three projects was created by the renowned comic artist Troy Nixey, a great source of pride for the band.
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, The Corps made a notable comeback with the EP From Oblivion (2022), marking the start of a partnership with Merit-Based Booking and a European tour in 2023.
The band has had the honor of sharing the stage with many of their major influences, including Propagandhi, Mad Caddies, Belvedere, Satanic Surfers, D.O.A., Chixdiggit, Gob, and The Dreadnoughts, among others. They have also played numerous festivals such as the Mad Ones Festival in Luxembourg, Pouzza Fest in Montreal, and headlined the SoGnar Festival in Calgary.
Looking ahead, The Corps approaches the coming year with enthusiasm as their highly anticipated second album Fractured Protocol is set to be released on May 3, 2024, via Thousand Islands Records. This release will be followed by an East Coast Canadian tour with Darko, then a West Coast tour with Authority Zero, firmly establishing The Corps as a true force in the punk rock scene as they enter their second decade.
