Trash Panda
Originally from Orlando, Florida, the raccoon-themed slamming deathgrind trio Trash Panda has set itself the mission of spreading its very distinctive brand of death metal across the Floridian extreme music scene.
The band kicked things off in 2021 with an onslaught of riffs on their debut EP, Valley of Junk. Inspired by acts such as Pig Destroyer, Cattle Decapitation, and Devourment, Trash Panda fuses a unique blend of influences into a frenzy of frantic, nightmarish, and often hilarious musical imagery—all centered around raccoons.
After self-releasing their debut EP in September, the band signed with Brutal Mind/Fat Tub of Lard Records to release their first full-length album, Pawns of the Putrid God, which came out in November 2022. In addition to featuring guest appearances from artists such as C.J. McMahon and Larry Wang, the album significantly expands the band’s universe, imagery, and concept.
Following tours in early 2023 and 2024, Trash Panda continued to build their discography with the 2024 EP Devour Their Scraps, as well as the single Discovered in the Crawlspace, accompanied by a bonus cover of Mortician’s “Rabid.”
