Dance Laury Dance

For over 13 years now, Dance Laury Dance has been igniting crowds wherever they go. On the roadmap of the wild children of hard rock, you’ll find 400 concerts and 5 Canadian tours, a few stops in the United States, 3 European tours, as well as an impressive number of shows performed in bars, clubs, concert halls, and festivals in the Quebec region since 2007.

The band has notably participated in Hellfest (France), Amnesia Rockfest, Heavy MTL, Heavy Toronto, Festivoix de Trois-Rivières, Les Grandes Fêtes du St-Laurent, M for Montreal, and most notably the Quebec City Summer Festival, where they brilliantly opened for Metallica in front of a crowd of nearly 130,000 people. They have also performed as the opening act for Motörhead, Anthrax, Steel Panther, The Offspring, Limp Bizkit, Skid Row, Alice Cooper, and Monster Truck, just to name a few.

After two albums: Living for the Roll (2011) and Hellalujah (2014), and the Laser Shark EP (2016), the band released their new opus in 2020 under the Rosemarie Records label. Their third studio album and first in French, titled: “C’est ça”, offers highly engaged modern poetry that doesn’t hesitate to denounce the worst atrocities of this world, including a deep disdain for Tim Hortons.

In the absence of live performances in the past year, the band has released music videos to go with their singles “Encore une nuit sans journée,” “B.R.U.H.,” and “Vivre dans une autre ville,” all directed by Alec Pronovost, as well as the video for: “Né pour parde.” Accumulating nearly 350,000 online views, these visual testimonies humorously reflect the band’s eccentric and satirical universe. In the fall of 2020, the album’s release was accompanied by the hilarious: “Bienvenue au Roc Roulant”, a film shot during a “retreat camp” in the Mauricie forest, showcasing raw, uncensored moments of emotion that reveal the hidden human fragility behind the stone facade of these five rockers. The album earned them a nomination at the 2021 ADISQ Gala in the Album of the Year – Rock category!
